ACQUIRE Corp. today announced the twin-stick shooter game XALADIA: Rise of the Space Pirates X2. Scheduled for release on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Steam in fall 2023, XALADIA is the first self-published release from the developers of Tenchu, Way of the Samurai, AKIBA’S TRIP, and the Octopath Traveler series.
According to their press release, XALADIA: Rise of the Space Pirates X2 is a twin-stick, single-player shooter game featuring non-scrolling, single-screen battle, varied turret construction, covered defense, and 3D graphics. Players must take on the role of planetary reconnaissance soldier in a terraformed planet society during a violent and destructive alien space-pirate raid. In short, the soldier who does not cover the screen with a barrage of missiles, lasers, barriers, and bots will be destroyed by the enemy! XALADIA’s scalable, customizable weapons system sets it apart from other twin-stick shooters.
You step into the role of “Space Wolf” a soldier of the planetary reconnaissance team tasked with safeguarding stars from space pirates and aliens using any and all weapons and tools that you could find. Turrets, Guns, Shields, and more are at your disposal, and are upgradeable, and so is your character.
A playable demo will be available from August 12, 2023, to August 14, 2023, on the game’s Steam store page.
