Developer and publisher Cognoggin Games released a new update for their weirdly charming deckbuilder roguelite, Crush the Industry. The update includes controller support testing, new enemy animations, Hell balance adjustments, and more.
Controller support is a major addition to the game, and so far, the all-but-confirmed list of controllers that should work are the Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Sony DualShock 4 controllers, but other controllers may also work. They reiterated that this should not be considered “official support” yet, and encouraged players to test out controller support and provide feedback while they continue to refine controller support.
In addition, the update also includes a number of other new features and changes. New enemy animations have been added, making the game more visually appealing and challenging. The developer has also adjusted the Hell difficulty modifiers to be a little less severe. Most notably, many summoned enemies (e.g. Microtransaction Eggs) are now limited to 1 random buff on the harder Hell difficulty levels.
Finally, the update fixes a number of bugs, including some that were causing display issues on non-16:9 aspect ratio resolutions. Dynamic resolution support is also planned for a future update.
Crush the Industry is a deckbuilder roguelite with pixel art graphics, and is heavily inspired by JRPGs of the 90s, more specifically, the cult classic Earthbound. It boasts a 93% “Very Positive” rating out of 89 reviews on Steam.
