Developer Fatshark has released the Necromancer DLC for Warhammer: Vermintide 2, which introduces a new playable Career for Sienna Fuegonasus, as well as two new weapons, cosmetics, and more!
Necromancers raise the dead to fulfill their every command. Drawn to the Dark Magic following a battle with her twin sister Sofia, Sienna now strides into battle at the head of a company of skeletons, wielding a Soulstealer Staff and Ensorcelled Reaper to bestow the gift of death upon her foes.
The two new weapons included in the Necromancer DLC are the Soulstealer Staff and the Ensorcelled Reaper. The Soulstealer Staff is a vile conduit of Necromantic magic that can be used to fire cursed bolts at enemies or to rip out their souls. The Ensorcelled Reaper is a threatening two-handed weapon with fantastic cleave and powerful impact.
The Necromancer DLC also includes a number of new cosmetics, such as new skins for Sienna, her weapons, and her minions.
In addition to the Necromancer DLC, Fatshark has also released Patch 5.1.0. This patch includes a number of bug fixes, performance improvements, and other changes, including:
- A rework of how assets are stored in the game files, resulting in a smaller install size
- Changes to the loading algorithm to improve loading times
- Rebasing of the patch to reduce the size of the game
- Memory improvements
- Implementation of Nvidia’s DLSS and AMD’s FSR 2.2 technologies
The Geheimnisnacht event will also be returning from October 26 to November 5. More information about the event will be revealed closer to the date.
Finally, the developers have confirmed that there is more content being developed for Vermintide 2, reassuring players that the best is yet to come!
